8. Cookies and Local Storage

We use the following technologies to operate the Platform and understand how it is used:

  • Session Cookies: Required for basic Platform functionality
  • Local Storage: We store your authentication token in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in across page loads
  • Analytics Cookies (Google Tag Manager + GA4): We load Google Tag Manager which in turn loads Google Analytics (GA4). GA4 sets cookies to collect anonymised data about pages visited, session duration, and general traffic patterns. This helps us improve the Platform. Google may process this data on servers outside India — see Section 12.
  • Behavioural Analytics (Microsoft Clarity): We load Microsoft Clarity via Google Tag Manager. Clarity records anonymised session replays and heatmaps showing how visitors interact with our Platform — including mouse movements, clicks, and scroll depth. Sensitive fields (phone numbers, payment inputs) are automatically masked. Used to improve usability and fix UX issues. Microsoft may process this data outside India — see Section 12.
  • Advertising (Meta Pixel / Facebook Pixel): We load the Meta Pixel on our Platform to track page views and user interactions for advertising and conversion measurement purposes. The Pixel places cookies that allow Meta to link your activity on our Platform to your Meta account (if you have one) and to show you targeted Ekatra advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, and Meta's partner network. Meta may process this data outside India — see Section 12. You can opt out of Meta's use of your data for ad targeting via Meta's Cookie Policy and your Facebook Ad Preferences.

We use cookies to improve your experience on our site. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and local storage, or by contacting support@ekatraonline.com.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or advertisements. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

11. Automated Processing

We use basic automated processing for the following purposes:

  • Partner Matching: We automatically match your city and vehicle preferences to eligible partner dealers based on their service area and brand authorizations
  • Group Deal Management: Automated processes track group deal periods, participant counts, and status transitions
  • Notification Triggers: Automated systems send transactional notifications (booking confirmations, offer updates, payment receipts) based on actions you take

We do not use automated profiling for credit scoring or eligibility decisions. We do use Meta Pixel to deliver targeted advertising via Meta's platforms — this is described in Section 8.

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than India, including by our service providers and partners located outside India. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from Indian laws.

When we transfer your personal information internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws, including:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by regulatory authorities
  • Ensuring service providers maintain adequate data protection standards
